Catch Up...

We just moved from Chicago to Bend, Oregon. It was a big move — 2000 miles — and it involved some planning, the sale of our condo, figuring out how to get our stuff here, not to mention ourselves and the kids. We packed over 100 boxes and put our place on the market. Our condo is now under contract and is scheduled to close on July 17th.

We got to Bend after a 5-day drive. Our trusty Pathfinder was a trouper and although very noisy and thirsty it didn't give us any trouble. Bend looked beautiful. You could see all the mountains, there was no traffic and the house is great! A complete contrast to the city we just left.

Our stuff arrive
d 3 weeks later after a broken-down truck in Colorado and road closures due to snow in Wyoming. It sucked.

Now we are kind of all settled in and have been trying to enjoy some of the activities Central Oregon has to offer. We've been camping, to many playgrounds, story time at the library, we are members of the High Desert Museum, have a punch-card for the Working Wonders Children's Museum, eaten at a few of the brewpubs, gotten ice cream, walked halfway around Smith Rock, been to Portland and we still have so much to do. We're going to be busy.

Aunt Jessica, Aunt Christina, Jack and Kevin also just moved to Bend which is really fun. Pippa loves seeing her aunts and cousin.

So, here are some pictures from the last couple of months...

OMG! Your kids are so cute! The ice cream ones are the best! She's a true Reese!

I hope you had only one item in each box according to the 100 possessions rule. The coast day was sooooo cold; Pippa didn't seem to mind at all though, running around the beach in circles. Gotta love that.

Pippa's ice-cream covered face is very similar to your chocolate (biscuit) covered face in the photo we have of you which was taken 27/28 years ago!
We love the photos and the blog!
